The Atlas and its transcript are available whether or not you watch the film. The film starts only when you press play. Watching it, closing an information panel, scrolling or continuing to use this website does not constitute consent to analytics or advertising.
Film, audio and subtitles
The film, its poster, audio and subtitle files are served directly from the IAMBI website. No external video player is embedded. When you press play, your browser requests the film and selected subtitle resources from our server. Technical connection data, including your IP address, are required to deliver these files, as they are for other website content. This player does not use analytics or advertising cookies and does not send playback events to an external analytics service.
Language and browser storage
English is the website’s primary language. You can switch between English and German in the header and choose audio and subtitles separately in the player. The player’s choices remain in the current page’s memory; they are not saved as a cross-site profile. The introductory Atlas animation uses session storage in this browser tab to remember that it has already played. This entry is not shared with other websites and normally expires when the tab is closed.
Forms and downloads
The contact, correction and data-submission forms prepare a downloadable file on your device. Completing or downloading a form does not automatically send it to IAMBI. You decide whether and how to share the saved file. Transcript and subtitle downloads are also initiated by you.
Scope of this information
This notice describes the Atlas’s film player, language selection, introductory animation and local form downloads. Server operation involves technical processing needed to provide and protect the website. This information does not promise that server access is anonymous or that no technical connection data are processed.
Optional website analytics
Optional website analytics has a separate privacy choice. Playing the film does not change that choice. The separate notice explains its purpose, provider, retention and withdrawal. Read the optional analytics notice
